My Single Word Resolution For 2012

First, let me just say this. I’m not fond of resolutions. I’m not on board with the mentality that you need a specific day of the year in which to try and make some grandiose change in your life.

I tend to subscribe to the thought that if you want to change something, then change it… Not tomorrow.. not at the end of the year… Just do it today.

With that said, I do have somewhat of a resolution this year… but only because it happens to coincide with the beginning of the year.

Soaring… Kinda.

When is the last time you flew a kite?

Strange, flying a kite…. as an adult.

Liberating in a way to get out there and have pure fun, that doesn’t require the consumption of alcohol… although that could be fun too.

I recently received a kite for Christmas, and like a little child, I ran immediately outside and tried to fly it… I plan on doing more of that.

Don’t forget to enjoy life, people. No point in living if you’re miserable. Take a second to experience life like you did when you were a child, with no worries, stress, or responsibilities. Go get yourself a kite from the dollar store and fly it.

Do it now.

It was only 75 days ago that I wrote a post declaring a change.. making note of all that I had accomplished.. and eluding to a new life for myself due to my sudden influx of motivation and drive.

Well… it happened. haha. Read more

My last snapshot was over 3 years ago.

It’s interesting to see where I was three years ago, and Read more
