Blogging From My Phone?

So I decided it was about time to integrate my mobile devices into my blog so that I might create more content.

If you remember from a few posts ago, I was going to try to post more content to my own sites rather than posting updates to Facebook and Twitter as much. Then syndicate that content across those networks in order to establish my blog a little more.

As it sits, I add quite a bit of user generated content to various social sites. What that really means is that I’m helping to build their sites, and not mine.

So, let’s call this a little experiment and see how it works out for me.

I don’t figure I’ll post regular updates from my phone too terribly often as it’s clunky compared to me sitting at a full sized keyboard. But, a good portion of what I post happen to be photos and videos, ironically, taken from my phone and posted from my phone… So, I’m just going to redirect the destinations of those little pieces of content to my blog rather than twitPic or Facebook.

I suppose we’ll see how that works for me. Haha.

Now… How do I add a picture to this thing…?

Pro-Tip: Wrangle Your Cord, Sir..

Organize your electronics cables by clipping them into those little paperclip dealy boppers and clipping them to your desk. Done and done.

Ever get tired of losing all the random cords and wires from your electronic devices to that abyss behind your desk?

As you may have read in my last post, I’m currently working on getting my office together, and trying to figure out what I’m going to do for a desk. Well, along that bumpy little road, I came across this photo and thought it was pretty clever.

So there it is.. the quickest, cheapest way I know of to keep your cords attached to your desk and save you from having to fumble around trying to find that ipod plug.

You can thank me later. :)

5X5 Video Project

So, I was surfing around Vimeo the other night as I was trying to go to bed (unsuccessfully, mind you) and I came across this project called the 5X5 project.

Basically, it’s 5 clips, 5 seconds each, stitched together to make a 25 second video.

The cool thing that caught my attention was the fact that I love taking video. My problem is Read more

Why Happiness is the New Productivity

Ready for this?

Watch this video.. Do it now.

I think I’ll try something new..

So, what with the advent of Facebook and Twitter (and all of the other social media sites), I’ve kinda lost touch with “blogging”.. Just don’t have the time for it really.. Blogging tends to be long and drawn out, topic driven, article type content. Sometimes I’m inclined to write like that, but not a whole lot.

I do, update my status all the damn time though.

The problem with that is, I’m providing content to OPS (Other People’s Sites) when I could be using that time to post new content to my little bloggity blog. :)

So, here’s what I’m gonna try:

When I find something cool, fun, interesting, other otherwise something I would have normally posted to FB/Twitter, I’m going to post it here instead.

Then, I’m going to automatically post it to Twitter and Facebook.

Tight story… And so it was.
